Q: What is an Insight Community?

A: It’s an online research community of individuals with similar interests, and experiences, who have voluntarily chosen to participate in online research studies about various topics related to their common interests.

Q: What is Pulse of Australia?
A. Pulse of Australia is an insight community owned by News Corp Australia and powered by Vision Critical that gives members the opportunity to share and communicate their thoughts and opinions on anything and everything that they have a point of view about.

Q: How do I register to become a Pulse of Australia member?
A: In order to qualify as a member of the Pulse of Australia Community, you:
a) Click on the “Join Now” button on the home page of this site and complete a short profiling survey.
b) Read the Terms of Use and the Privacy Statement.

Q: How many surveys do I have to complete?
A: We encourage participation in as many studies as you are invited to take. In order to be considered an active member of the Pulse of Australia Community we ask that you participate in at least three studies per year.

Q: How do I complete a survey?
A: You will be e-mailed a unique URL address for each survey. Simply click on that URL or cut and paste it into a web browser of your choice and complete the survey online.

Q: How long will I have to complete each survey?
A: You will typically have anywhere from 48 hours to one week to complete each survey, unless stated otherwise.

Q: What information is required to become a Community member?
A: A brief member profile is the only information required for joining the Community. Your member profile will include basic contact information, a few demographic questions and questions around your interests such as which newspapers or websites you read.

Q: Will my profile information be provided to third parties?
A: The Pulse of Australia Community profile information is not distributed to any third party. All information you provide is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and your privacy is guaranteed. Your name will never be sold, exchanged, or distributed to any other party without your express acknowledgement.

Q: How long will I remain on the Community?
A: You may remain on the Community as long as you choose to participate in at least three surveys per year. Members may remove themselves from the Community through clicking on unsubscribe on the survey invite emails or through the website upon logging in.

Q: How do members receive information and feedback as a result of the survey topics they complete?
A. Certain study results will be made available to all members via communications from time to time.
